Our Values

Your child’s care is a partnership between you and our care team. Together, we have your child’s best interests at heart. Little Star Day School is a second home where your child feels loved, respected and safe. For this reason, values are important to us in our daily lives together. At Little Star Day School, the following four values form the foundation for living together:

Little Star Philosophy Star

Respect

At Little Star Day School, we believe that the saying “Treat everyone as you would like to be treated” is still valid today. It is important that the children learn that everyone is different and that we still respect each other. Respecting each other then also means acting accordingly with deeds and words. This includes the golden words “thank you”, “please”, and “excuse me”.

Motivation

At Little Star Day School we believe that motivation is the basis for achieving goals. Especially for children, motivation improves and supports cognitive processes. Our educators use children’s natural motivation and curiosity in their daily activities to guide them in learning new and more complex tasks.

Confidence

At Little Star Day School, we believe that self-confidence is important for development and later life. It means being sure of yourself and your abilities in a realistic, confident manner, not feeling superior to others. It is a calm inner knowing that tells you that you are capable.

Caring

At Little Star Day School, we believe that caring has a positive impact on a child’s mental development. Caring helps strengthen relationships and build emotional bonds with others. Caring makes us all feel safe and secure.

These values apply to all of us: team members, parents and children. We adults are role models and must take care in our daily dealings with each other to adhere to these values and to live them – for the benefit of the children and for harmonious coexistence.
